JUNE 4 | 7: MY NAME MATTERS TO GOD. (1 SAMUEL 3)

• God called a young man named Samuel by name. He knew Samuel and had an important message for him. God called Samuel by name because He loved him and had a plan for his life.
• God knows each of us by name too. He loves us so much that He sent Jesus on a rescue mission to save us from our sin so we can be with Him forever.

JUNE 11 | 14: EVERY DAY, WE CHOOSE WHO WE WILL LISTEN TO, WHAT THE WORLD SAYS OR WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS. 
(GENESIS 3:1–7)

• The serpent told Adam and Eve to trust what they wanted instead of trusting God. When they chose their own way over God’s way, sin entered the world. The very first sin happened because people trusted their own understanding instead of God’s Word. We’ve been in that tug of war ever since.
• The world we live in will often tells us to “Do what feels right.” But God gave us our feelings to help us know what is going on inside of us. God invites us to trust Him because He knows what is best for us.

JUNE 18 | 21: OUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN BECAUSE JESUS PAID FOR THEM ON THE CROSS. (LUKE 23:39–43)

• Jesus told a story about planting seeds to help us understand our hearts. Sometimes our hearts are ready to hear and follow Him, and sometimes they are not. 
• Jesus came on a rescue mission for us so that we could be forgiven and our hearts can be made new.

JUNE 25 | 28: BECAUSE JESUS FORGAVE US, WE CAN FORGIVE OTHERS, EVEN WHEN IT'S HARD. (GENESIS 45:1–50:20)

• Joseph’s brothers hurt him deeply, and later he had the power to punish them. Instead of getting revenge, he chose to forgive them and trust God’s plan.
• Forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened was okay - it means we trust God more than our anger. Because Jesus forgave us, we can forgive others, even when it’s hard.
